Why CHIP? As a long-time educator in the Roanoke Valley, I have seen first-hand that health is the foundation of a child’s ability to learn and reach their full potential. A child who is rested, fed, and healthy is a child ready to engage. CHIP’s mission resonates with me because it recognizes that developing relationships and supporting families are keys to community-wide wellness. I believe that by addressing health disparities early, CHIP directly invests in the future academic and personal success of Roanoke’s children. I am honored to be involved with an organization helping to ensure every child has the healthy start they deserve.
