                                                               GRANT WRITER

CHIP of the Roanoke Valley is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time, 40 hrs/wk Grant Writer. This position will secure funding for CHIP programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant writing and research, as well as a passion for CHIP’s mission. To assist with a smooth transition into the role, this position will be provided with training and support from the current grant writer.

Key Responsibilities Include:  
– Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
– Writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals that effectively communicate CHIP’s mission and program needs.
– Collaborating with management team & staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
– Maintaining a calendar of grant deadlines and ensuring timely submission of all materials.
– Assisting in the preparation of grant reports and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
– Developing and maintaining relationships with grant-making organizations.
– Staying informed about trends in grant funding and best practices in grant writing.

Qualifications: 
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, English, social sciences).
– Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
– Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze and summarize information.
– Familiarity with grant writing processes and requirements is a plus, but not mandatory.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Passion for the mission and values of CHIP of the Roanoke Valley.

                                     BI-LINGUAL FAMILY CASE MANAGER

CHIP is looking for a compassionate Family Case Manager eager to support families and promote self-sufficiency.  As a home visiting program serving pregnant women and families with children from birth to kindergarten entry, we are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, identify and support client strengths and truly impact lives.  Responsibilities include completing home visits, providing developmental, parenting and safety education, supporting families in goal setting and achievement and connecting families with community resources.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the human services field, preferably in case management or home visiting, reliable personal transportation with a clean driving record (0 or + points) and the ability to pass a background check.

We are offering a full time position with flexible hours, the opportunity for hybrid work (after initial orientation period), comprehensive benefits including insurance and paid time off.

                                  BI-LINGUAL COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE

Do you have a desire to assist families in our Hispanic community?  Would you like to use your Spanish language skills to help families achieve self-sufficiency?  CHIP of the Roanoke Valley is a home visiting program caring for pregnant women and families with children from birth to kindergarten entry.  We are searching for a candidate who will create meaningful relationships with our clients to build on their strengths and create a difference in their lives.  Job duties include: home visits, asthma case management, prenatal/parenting education, conducting assessments on health, nutrition, psychological, environmental and economic demographics of clients, working with medical reports, providing education on potential health problems and understanding of specific health care needs and providing resources to families.  If you are interested in being a part of a culturally sensitive team that will help a family create meaningful change in their lives, then we would love to speak with you!

Candidates must have a valid RN license for the Commonwealth of VA, speak Spanish and have 2 years of related work experience.  Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
