My practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner aligns naturally with the vision of CHIP. This vision is that every child deserves equal access to heath care. I was born and raised in Lucan, Ontario Canada and received a undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Western Ontario. My work in various pediatric hospitals and community settings has been to reinforce family strengths. I had the wonderful opportunity to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with a specialty in Pediatrics. This advanced study spotlighted racial and economic disparity, and the threat it holds over all of us. As a Nurse Practitioner I enjoy partnering with families with the goal of health and school readiness. The CHIP home visiting program helps parents validate their role as the child’s first and most beloved teacher. CHIP is dedicated to promoting this roll. CHIP shares with all partners in the child life the knowledge and confidence that ‘We Can Do Hard Things’.  My family enjoys the freedom of life on top of Bent Mountain. I raising a variety of farm animals and my favorite of which is lambs. Most of all I have a love for kids, and is reflected in by the partnerships with CHIP as a board member.
